Montefiore Street, Tel Aviv.An eclectic-style building from the early 20th century, located near the Pagoda House and the Norman Hotel, in the heart of a developing urban neighborhood, dotted with Tel Avivian cafés.In this context, a boutique office for a young venture capital firm takes shape, and we took on the challenge of shaping their workspace. Three floors spanning 700 square meters were carefully converted from a residential building into a contemporary work environment, without losing the homely and historic feel characteristic of the structure.Preservation—with all its limitations and advantages—was a fundamental starting point. Every detail was designed with respect for the existing features: high ceilings, large windows, and original features.

The goal was not to "design an office" but to allow the building to remain present. Rather than obscuring the past, the design seeks to highlight it—with a sensitive, clear, and clean language that honors the original architecture without replicating it.Combinations of natural materials, light-colored furnishings, and terrazzo flooring that echoes old Tel Aviv painted tiles—all aim to maintain the light, the texture, and the memory.

The public floor (ground level) is intended for guests, events, and casual meetings. An open, flexible space that includes a bar, kitchen, lounges, an inner patio, and a deck surrounded by greenery. The refined furniture, in light shades, complements the relaxed atmosphere. The terrazzo flooring, combined with patterned and geometric tiles, pays homage to the traditional Tel Aviv flooring of the past. The curved lines of the bar are a nod to the White City and Bauhaus architecture. The first floor houses the partners' offices—spacious rooms that preserve the original proportions while continuing the warm and precise language of the ground floor, with slight variations: natural oak flooring in a herringbone pattern, solid wood doors and frames, and a calm white ceiling that enhances acoustics and lighting without being overly dominant.

The top floor is dedicated to the company’s employees from various departments and includes workspaces, seating areas, and open balconies for each room, offering a view of the street and a small break from the daily routine.The large dining area serves as the central meeting point—a place to gather, eat, and converse.In the basement, an old storage space was converted into a recording and filming studio—an intimate environment for creating podcasts and digital content. This is an office that doesn’t stand out loudly but feels precisely suited to everyone present. An office that is part of the city, the street, and the history—yet also a young venture capital firm looking to make an impact from within.
