When designing an office on the 45th floor, nothing stands between the office spaces and the sun, and shadow becomes an architectural raw material in every sense. The conflict is clear: how to allow a view of the breathtaking Tel Aviv panorama while keeping out the blinding glare? A glare that not only prevents working on the computer but prevents working altogether.

The strategy we developed is based on two shadow lines. The first line, entirely technical, is electric shading on the windows. The second line was much more interesting: a mashrabiya of wooden cubes located at the seam between the rooms and the public space. Thus, the sun becomes a choreographer of shadow dances on the floor, constantly changing throughout the day.

When designing a law office, the architect's old enemy appears on the sketch pages - the corridor. Unlike high-tech companies, which work almost entirely in a completely open environment, law offices still maintain the traditional workspace - a room. A place for one person and their computer. Two rows of such rooms and voila! We got a corridor. A corridor is not a place (place is both a small word and our Holy Grail). To overcome the corridor, we pulled out the project's secret weapon: the client. Lawyer Gilad Baron is not only a professional but also a brave man. Gilad agreed to give up several internal rooms in favor of creating an open loft. And so, an office spanning 1,000 square meters is (almost) corridor-free. People's movement passes through a series of wide, funnel-like spaces, which we created by rotating some of the internal masses.

The photos testify: the color palette is very Tel Avivian. Concrete gray, charcoal gray, white, blue, and wood. It's a restrained space, with technical lighting and white walls serving as a neutral background for artwork.
