An Autonomy within the urban fabric

The design vision was to create a home for an autonomous community that provides a sense of security and independence while maintaining a close connection to the surrounding urban and natural fabric. The project is located on a 9,000-square-meter campus and is built around an inner courtyard enclosed on three sides, open to a public park on the eastern side, and overlooking the Samarian hills. The building design complements the dense urban environment with a segmented massing approach, breaking the structure into smaller sections with varying heights and materials to create a sense of urban continuity.

The project is designed to enable seamless movement between different spaces, with a network of paths and bridges linking the lobbies, courtyards, and atriums.

The design encourages social interactions and simplifies navigation. The main entrance hall is naturally illuminated by a glass dome, and strategically placed transparent elevators ensure easy and intuitive access to all floors and public areas.

Warmth, Sustainability, and Community Life

The use of sustainable, warm, and natural materials such as wood, terracotta, and stone creates a cozy, homelike atmosphere that accompanies residents from their private apartments to the shared spaces. The project includes all the facilities needed for a thriving community: a fully equipped gym with both indoor and outdoor pools, an auditorium, activity rooms, shops, a supermarket, a dining hall, a restaurant, and a synagogue. These facilities surround the central courtyard and terrace, fostering a connection between the interior and exterior spaces and inviting residents to explore the landscaped gardens.
